Where is the best Nepali restaurant in Auckland CBD?
Snax is on Commerce Street in the middle of Auckland city, a two-minute walk from Britomart. We cook Nepali food the way it's eaten in Kathmandu: momos made fresh every morning, buffalo sukuti chowmein, sekuwa off a hot grill, and thukpa built on a slow broth.
What are momos?
Momos are Nepali dumplings, spiced minced filling wrapped in a thin dough and steamed. They're Nepal's national snack, eaten everywhere from street carts to family kitchens, and always served with achar, a tomato-and-chilli dipping sauce.
Do you deliver in Auckland?
Yes. You can order Snax delivery through Uber Eats or DoorDash, both of which cover central Auckland. For pickup and takeaway, order directly through our online ordering site. It's the cheapest way to order because there's no delivery-app markup.
Do you have vegetarian options?
Plenty. Vegetarian momos, veg chowmein, veg thukpa, aloo chop, aloo nimki, veg wraps and veg salad are all on the menu, and every vegetarian dish is marked clearly.
What are your opening hours?
We're open every day from 11:30am to 9pm. Online orders for pickup close a little earlier, at 8:30pm, so after that come in or call us.
